About Dr. Patel
Dr. Aniruddh Patel combines a global perspective with advanced clinical expertise to deliver thoughtful, patient-centered care. Born in Gujarat, India, and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, he connects easily with patients from diverse backgrounds and understands the importance of individualized care.
His interest in Gastroenterology began with undergraduate research in colon cancer-related malnutrition and continued through medical school and residency. Dr. Patel is committed to providing clear guidance, accurate diagnosis, and compassionate support—whether treating common GI concerns like IBS or more complex conditions like colorectal cancer. He believes in building lasting patient relationships while delivering evidence-based, personalized care.
Dr. Patel manages a wide range of digestive conditions, with a particular interest in esophageal diseases such as reflux, swallowing difficulties, and motility disorders.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel is an avid film enthusiast who enjoys physical fitness, travel, and spending time with his wife and his English cream golden retriever.

Dr. Patel’s interest within Gastroenterology includes colorectal cancer screening, acid reflux, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, functional GI disorders, and enteral access. Dr. Patel is trained in upper and lower endoscopy.
