Advancing Digestive Health Through Clinical Research
Digestive Healthcare of Georgia is committed to improving the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases through participation in clinical research studies and clinical trials.
Our experienced physicians and dedicated research team work closely with patients who may be interested in exploring emerging therapies and treatment options. Clinical research helps advance medical knowledge while providing eligible participants with access to investigational medications and therapies that are not yet widely available.
Why Participate in a Clinical Trial?
Participation in a clinical research study may offer patients the opportunity to:
- Access new investigational treatments and therapies
- Contribute to advancements in digestive healthcare
- Receive close monitoring from our research team and physicians
- Help improve treatment options for future patients
Participation in any research study is completely voluntary. Before enrolling, patients receive detailed information about the purpose of the study, available treatment options, potential risks and benefits, participant responsibilities, and patient rights. Our team is committed to ensuring that every patient can make an informed decision about participation.
Safety and Oversight
All clinical research conducted at Digestive Healthcare of Georgia follows applicable federal regulations and is reviewed by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) to help protect the rights, safety, and well-being of research participants.
Study Costs
Many clinical trials are sponsored by pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies. Depending on the study, costs associated with investigational medications, study-related office visits, laboratory testing, and other research-related services may be covered by the study sponsor.
